This bedside table marries purposeful design with sustainable craftsmanship. Created from richly grained mahogany salvaged from an old staircase, the piece carries with it the silent history of past architecture, re-imagined into intimate functionality. Designed specifically for the designer’s partner, the table reflects a deep understanding of personal habit and need—its dimensions meticulously tailored to accommodate a tissue box for easy nighttime access as well as space in the bottom section to house a small rubbish bin and easily empty it from the side. Clean lines and rich tones balance utility with beauty, making the piece not only a vessel of care and attention but also a quiet celebration of reuse, memory, and design made personal.
